From: PatBond NAC NEWS - April 4, 2002 Our next meeting is on Wednesday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Northport Library Community Room Last month's meeting was very well attended - about 50 people experienced a live presentation of a Brahms Clarinet trio by talented and professional musicians. Greg Tsontakis-Mally then discussed his wife's sculptures and showed us his some of his paintings. He actually passed around his original watercolors so we could have a close look. We are truly appreciative of the Northport Library's access to their Community Room. At this month's gathering in the community room, we will be celebrating our fourth year as a "vibrant hub of the arts and humanities" in our community. We hope to meet our 30 new members and to see all our long-time members as well. In keeping with our mission, we are planning an evening which is a pastiche of dance, music, poetry, theater, and art. And all in an hour and a half! And in addition, there will be light refreshments! Elsa Posey will introduce some of her young dance students who will present a dance dating from 1910. Jeff Bennett will introduce some of his actors who will perform for us. Kate Kelly and George Wallace will grace us with some poetry, Isabella will play a rag or two, and a photographer will be displaying some of her work. We will discuss briefly our plans for the summer. We are in need of a person to do Public Relations and also someone who does pro bono accounting! We continue to support many new projects coming from artists in the community and find it very rewarding.
