(You may want to print out this letter in order to take in all that is going on in our community.) And in addition, this month our circulation reached the three-hundred mark. And so, we hope all of you will come celebrate our 5th year on Wednesday, April 9th 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in the Northport Library. There is an open call for musicians, poets, dancers, and actors who would like to perform one piece or read one poem, etc…in an informal, fun setting. Please contact Isabella @ vivaldi222@aol.com to participate. Share your talent and enjoy our company! Several performers have volunteered already. Refreshments. We were pleased with the Long Island Poetry Collective program on March 12th. In a warm and welcoming setting, many poets shared their work with us. We hope to hear from them again. NAC’s "On the Horizon" art exhibit, curated by Kate Kelly, is a delight to the eye! Twenty-one artists graced the Village Hall with their beautiful paintings. Friday, April 4th – We are proud to announce the spring Do-ing Music Concert featuring Lisa Tannebaum, harpist, Lilian LaBarbara & Betty Caserta , piano. The Northport Wind Ensemble will top off the program with a quintet by Washburn. Friday, May 9th – The Northport Chorale and the Northport Arts Coalition will be joining hands to present a unique and romantic event "Love in Art and Music." This affair will include a concert given by the Chorale, and exhibit of art work by local artists, and a special Artists Reception before the musical performance. Truly an exceptionally fine treat! Splashes of Hope is a not-for-profit organization of artists dedicated to changing the environment of healthcare facilities by painting murals in hospitals.
