Your Membership status:
We are going through our records and will be sending out on-line membership forms to those of you whose yearly membership is due. We hope you will continue to be a part of our growing arts community and look forward to hearing from you. We will also contact those who do not have e-mail.
We believe the arts foster community and encourage humanistic values. Not only do we sponsor & bring such events as Sundays in the Park, Poets in Port, Village Hall Art Shows, Readers Theater Group, Opera Nights, NAC Wednesday's and Doing Music into the community, we also reach out to our local schools, inviting students to participate in our art programs. We are a non-profit, volunteer arts coalition made up of artists and art lovers.
We send out a monthly NAC newsletter to almost 1000 people on Long Island announcing membership news and upcoming art events on Long Island. We also give 69 artists and organizations opportunity to link their website onto ours. We were given a weekly “NAC for the Arts” page in the Northport Observer where we report upcoming events and feature local artists. We have a comprehensive website at www.northportarts.org which is updated each month by our volunteer graphic website designer, George Hart.
We know you see the importance of what we are trying to do and understand how we are working in our coalition to bring our community together through the arts. It is your continued support that keeps us growing strong. Your tax deductible membership and contributions help us pay out artist stipends, CPA fees, liability insurance, publicity costs, promotional materials, mailings, and office supplies.
We thank you again for your continued support and wish you all a happy, healthy New Year!
Sincerely,
Lauren Paige and Pat Bond
